Complementary therapies for animals and their owners

Hoof and Paw Holistic Therapies Limited specialises in complementary therapies for animals and their owners. I offer a range of effective holistic treatments for you and your horses, dogs and other animals, including Bowen therapy and Equissage massage.

About me

Hoof and Paw Holistic Therapies Limited specialises in complementary therapies for animals and their owners across the North West of England.

As a horse rider for over 25 years, a horse owner for over 12 years and a dog owner for most of my life, I am familiar with not only the problems suffered by animals but also those suffered by their owners or riders. So whether you or your animal needs some extra attention, Hoof and Paw Holistics can probably help.

I am a qualified Bowen therapist and Equine Bowen therapist having studied with the European College of Bowen Studies and at Rose Farm College of Equine Studies.
I offer a range of treatments, all of which work in different ways, though their aims are similar. Bowen therapy is a very subtle yet highly effective hands on treatment which can be used on animals and humans. Equissage massage gives horses a deeper, more physical massage which is especially useful for those on box rest.

A saddle pressure testing service is also offered. Maybe you're not completely convinced by the saddle you have, or maybe you're looking at buying a new saddle and are struggling to find someone to fit it. If so, then pressure testing can help you to get a picture of what is actually happening under your saddle when your horse is moving.

Treatment of animals will only be undertaken with veterinary permission and owners will be required to sign a form to confirm that authorisation has been granted.

None of the treatments offered should be considered to be an alternative to veterinary or medical treatment. Please consult your vet or doctor if you have any specific health concerns.

Your pet or horse insurance may cover you for the cost of treatments. Many policies now include cover for complementary therapies, so check with your insurance company to see if you are covered.

No claims are made over treatment of specific conditions using any of the therapies offered. All treatments are holistic and, as such, do not directly treat any medical condition.
